Subject: Hafen examination of Gerald mech Taurus
Properties in Arizona Results: Significant Results, MGC, April 2008
l.
Taurus Properties, Gila Con AZ Forty samples, mostly stream sediments, were collected from
the Taurus property owned by Gerald Blech and from the adjacent Hog Canyon
owned by Ginger Tupper. The geologic setting is very interesting and permissive for.
I. Placer Gold, 2. Lode Gold and 3. Copper associated with greenstone that has
been intruded by Pre Cambrian granodiorite.
The geologic environment has similarities to a paleo
greenstone (back arc) terrain that was intruded by the Pre Cambrian Gibson
Creek batholiths. Uplift resulted in a regional unconformity which subsequently
was overlain by a thick sequenc of Paleozoic-Mesozoic sediments.
Tertiary uplift and subsequent erosion has exposed
the pre-Paleozoic unconformity. Coarse clastic debris from this unconformity
was shed southward into the Tonto Basin. Lode gold and copper mineralization
occurs in structural zones in both greenstone and in adjacent Gibson Creek
granodiorite.
Placer gold has been recovered
from three environments. 1. Residual
gravels at the unconformity. 2. Extensive
gravel fans which constitute the current Tertiary/Quaternary pediment surface. 3. From
stream beds developed down-drainage in the pediment.
Subject: Significant Results, MGC,
April, 2008 ll. Taurus Prolxrties. Gila Co., AZ None of the past placer operations have been
large. (Small individual operations however, reported gold values recovered are
very high) Because of various ownership issues such as Gerald's' father wanting
privacy for his family, "out siders" were denied entry to the area,
thus no large operation has been attempted/allowed for many years while his
father was alive.
With the passing of the father, outside
professional explorations have been permitted for the entire area. I and other
professionals have discovered that the entire area is exceedingly "rich"
with potential placer deposits that cover several square miles and are a few
feet to a few 10's of feet thick.
The reserve tonnage/yardage is excessively
"vast" to attempt at calculating at this time. Currently several
weekenders are involved in recreations placer panning on ground adjacent to
Taurus claims.
My field reconnaissance shows a large fan or delta
sequence of gavel tongues that grade basin ward into lacustrine silt and
mudstone beds.
This is a large and
the owner of the Taurus properties has examined small but significant portions o fpotential prospective ground.
These areas appear to be creditable and further explorations should be pursued
with positive results expected. Time did not permit for more than a quick look
at the environment and to do some very limited sampling. The PGM's that were
discovered were a pleasant surprise and warrant further testing. If all proves
out to the positive, these values along with the gold recovery estimates would
be an additional key to a very lucrative return.
Should further testing, support my initial samples reported Au
values, MGC should be prepared to aggressively pursue evaluation/acquisition
of the Taurus and adjacent properties.
P.S. Sorry it has taken so long to get these comments to
you, but have just returned from Italy, Greece, and a trip to the West Coast.
Also, am co-authoring two technical papers for presentation at the Geological
Society of Nevada this fall. If you would like, I can send you a copy of my resume, it
will have to be updated to include the last three years activities, which
resulted in Rocky Mtn. Resources acquisition of two potentially world-class
vanadium and phosphate deposits. These are the subjects of the GSN papers Regards, Lonnie Hafen, Senior Consultant, MS Geology, Utah State University
